Midwest Maifest 2020

Tuesday, 14 July 2020 by Morgan Dennehy

Missouri has long been known as one of 3 areas highly populated by Germans in the mid-late 1800’s and their influence is still seen in Saint Charles particularly in an area now known as Frenchtown (ironic). As you drive around Saint Charles and the County, it would be difficult to ignore street names such as Schulersburg Road, Schwede Road, Zumbehl Road, or towns Cottleville and New Melle, or Ft. Zumwalt School Distict….all a nod to our German roots.

Midwest Maifest is a German Spring Festival (postponed from May 2020) to celebrate the rich German heritage in Missouri. We host craft beer brewers, wineries, spirit distillers, food vendors and live German entertainment. Maifest will be held on August 30, 2020, in New Town (an area in Frenchtown).
