Evening Quilters Bicentennial Table Runner

Friday, 19 February 2021 by Morgan Dennehy

Created by the Evening Quilters quilting group in Lincoln County, the eight potholder design quilt blocks are combined to create a 24″ x 74″ table runner depicting the different quilters thoughts of their Lincoln County Missouri home. Each block relates a specific place or happening in Lincoln County Missouri.  A laminated description of each block accompanies the quilt.

The table runner is currently scheduled to be on display at the Troy Chamber of Commerce during the month of April and at the Cuivre River State Park 75 Anniversary Celebration on October 2nd. If you are interested in displaying the table runner, please contact Mary Anne Kemper via email at charleskj@centurytel.net.

Moscow Mills Bicentennial Commemoration

Tuesday, 06 October 2020 by Morgan Dennehy

Moscow Mills is commemorating the 200th anniversary of the founding of our town with festivities throughout 2021.  Each event will have its own theme to illustrate all that Moscow Mills offers. A Scavenger Hunt at the local historic sites and New Year’s Eve Bash will kick-off the festivities on January 1, followed by the Founder’s Day flag ceremony on March 17. On May 22, 1820’s Day on Main Street will include a parade and numerous historical displays and presentations, as well as food trucks and vendor booths. On September 25 a bluegrass festival will be held at a local historical farm and on October 9, an antique tractor show at the newly renovated Mill Site Park. The final weekend on December 4 will culminate with historical displays, caroling in town, and the lighting of the Tree.
