Immerse yourself in the diversity of native Missouri landscapes and enjoy special activities this August as Shaw Nature Reserve marks the 200th anniversary of Missouri statehood. Search the Nature Reserve’s diverse habitats for Missouri’s state symbols. Check-in at the Visitor Center to receive an activity sheet and let the adventures begin! State symbols will be located along trails throughout the Nature Reserve. How many can you find?? Find at least three and receive a prize at the Visitor Center!

The 40th Annual Art Fair & Winefest will be held on May 21-23, 2021, in historic downtown Washington. This unique festival in the heart of Missouri wine country draws visitors each spring from across the Midwest. There will be live music, a full food court, and vendors all weekend long!
The Winefest tasting will be held on Friday and Saturday under the pavilion at the Washington Farmers’ Market. Admission to the wine tasting is $20.00 in advance, $30.00 after May 6, 2021, and includes a souvenir wineglass and complimentary cheese and crackers. There will be 15 wineries tasting their wine this year!
Held adjacent to the wine tasting pavilion, the Art Fair is a juried selection of artists featuring exhibitions and sales in conjunction with Downtown Washington, Inc. Items on sale include watercolor paintings, photography, woodwork and more. FREE admission.
