The Cooper County Historical Society is preserving their County’s history by developing an on-line research website featuring text, videos, pictures, maps and charts, plus genealogical research links and references for further study about Cooper County history. Cooper County Research Treasures is being developed by volunteers from the Cooper County Historical Society, County and area residents, volunteers from other historical groups, and individuals from the Boonslick area. Their mission is to preserve as much of Cooper County’s early history as possible – online, in one place, for future generations. Other collaborators include Friends of Historic Boonville; the River, Rails and Trails Museum; the South Howard County Historical Society; the Boonslick Historical Society; the Boonslick Road Association; and the Arrow Rock Historical Site.
